For this Topic, I'm going to try and lay down some etiquette and see if it flies.
Most people post here when they need a problem, and this kind of thing happens way too much:
>Dude, like where do I get Phenomenon's 64 plugin pack?
>It's stickied one thread above yours.
Ask your self these questions before you post:
-Did I check the tutorials section?
-Did I use the SEARCH button?
-Does this topic go at either the Help Desk or Tech questions and problems?
If it truly belongs here, and you're truly stuck, the next thing to consider is the content of your post. First being: the title.
Please don't title your topic "Help" or "WTF". Say you're trying to figure out how to change the color of ghost bolts (which you wouldn't post because there is a tutorial on it).
Title your topic something like "Editing Ghost bolt color". Keep it brief and informative. NEVER WRITE IN ALL CAPS.
Why? Because now people can can actually know what the thread is about, and more importantly, they can tell them apart. Another reason is that if your question is answered, other people can actually find the topic and learn the answer for themselves.
Which brings me to my next request: do not change the title of your topic to "NVM i figure it out" or "u can delete this now". People will never be able to find your thread again. Also, it is pointless and annoying.
So now if I wanted to learn about editing ghost bolt color, I might just find a topic where someone recently asked that and was answered. Instead of the topics looking like this:
help

ZOMG i got a problem!
______________________________________________________________
nvm i got the anser
______________________________________________________________
question

They would look like this:
Changing collision models
______________________________________________________________
Swapping projectiles
______________________________________________________________
Editing ghost bolt color

Adding fog to a level

So much better right?
One more thing.
BE SPECIFIC WHEN YOU POST.
So many times have I seen the first five replies in a topic being
"what do you mean?"
What a waste of eveyone's time. Just make sure people can understand you.
That's all, if everyone posts by these standards our PC modding discussion will be easier to and better functioning.
P.S. If you ever post "OMFG, assalt rifel shoots out tnak buletz! l33t haxzorz!", GTFO of this site.
Happy modding!

Why does it link to that? those are only the rules for the tutorial section. You should link it the the general site rules...
as for the other part, I read your post in the tutorials section and I was like "Thank you! Finally we will have a clean tutorials section! If only we had a clean modding discussion section. Wait a minute..."
