maps won't overwrite

Post by UR MAST3R »

When i send a map through my FTP program i get the option to overwrite the maps that was already there. So i click overwrite and it transfers the new map to my xbox and the number of bytes will change on my xbox if i injected everything. I boot up halo 2(sometimes with yelo and sometimes without it) go to my map and it will load. But the mod that i just put on is not there its the mod that i put on a long time ago. The map i am using is gemini and i've used 4 different new maps on the the mainmenu patches and TDATA yet nothing works. I did once get the map to update but i didnt do anything different to put it on. Any ideas why it is doing this.

'UR MAST3R', that post was really, just, not informative.

Anyways, you could perhaps try deleting the existing map and then try transferring the new map over? (i know, getting really quite complex here..)

Or are you skinning? Because if so your probably editing skins that are in the shared map.. and if so, you'll need to transfer that map over too, as well as clear the cache so the shared map is actually copied to it again.

try clearing the X,Y,Z folders on ur xbox, thats the cache,

also if you are editng a bitm on the shared, or mm, or sp shared, make sure u either transfer those maps too, or a easier way, internilize the bitm then skin.

Do This, Send the map over with an unused name therefor not havin to overwrite anything, Clear the Cache folder on ur E: drive, Clear X,Y,and Z. If you still have a problem after doing this then your problem is not overwriting, but something you are doing in ur mod.

I personally use filezilla and The only problem ive ever had with it was Yelo, So it should be overwriting properly.
