changing halo fonts, not the in game ones.

How do i change those fonts, not the in game ones. I've gone through like every single texture in ui and i cant find it. Someone help me please.

Do you want to make it say other things or change the visual appearance of the font?
To change what they say, go into the ui.map, save the relevant ustr meta tags, then edit the text in them with a hex editor or other simple text editor.

If you want to change the visual appearance of the fonts, I have no idea how to do that.

k thnx for the help, this was going to be part of my mod that i just finished today but no1 knows how to change those fonts so i will prolly just realease it the way it is.

Those words are image files. Go into UI.map in HMT and go under bitmaps, and somewhere under there there'll be ui/something/ and it'll end with header_<insert word here, like "internet" "lan" "direct IP">

Well some of them are bitmaps, not all of them. For example, the level descriptions are actual text, but "choose map" is a bitmap. It depends what you're looking at.

I already edited all of the bitmaps like header and what not. I edited every bitmap i could find that had words and i still cant get it done...

The things you need to edit are the string lists (ustr?) to change the text.
For the fotn and such forth you would have to edit the UI widget tag and switch the font type. Also i have no idea how you would go about editing font tags in PC, probaly be a long and involved process, good luck!

im just telling you my opinion...why is that so bad...just cause its CE...ooooh im a PCE modder...i mod both pc and ce, so shouldnt i have a right to say what i think is true???

Enough, ok? you shouldn't be saying your opinion like that, if you wana say your opinion say it in a less confrontational way, or at least dont drag ME into a side......

@EchoRanger449: No i have not seen a mod that incorporates new fonts but i think it would be pretty cool, i hope you end up making one cuase it would be a nice subtle change and not a blatant in your face one
