This abandoned Brute Relay Station is now the heat of battle between Elites and Humans. Pick your side.
About 80% done! All thats left to do is the {CLOSED} Beta testing and fixing bugs found at the beta.
STORY:
This facility, once controlled by the brutes is now a battle between the elites and humans. This abandoned relay station once was the Brutes' primary communication sync between Earth and other planets outside the solar system. The antenna was bombarded with meteorites, and along with it were some of the brutes. This facility has long since been inactive. Its only guards are the unfortunate brutes left dead from the meteors.
What has been done:
- MC is ODST
- Elite is Ranger Elite
- New skin for BSP
- Ragdoll physics added for realism
- New lightmap
- Two new grenades: Satchel and Spiker
- New weapon: Brute Spiker (taken from Underbrush, with permission)
- Customised weapons
- Got rid of fog and rocks outside of map. (Thanks to Zoner117 for doing that!)
- Got rid of banshee
- Fix objectives (flag, oddball, etc...) so ODST and ranger can use it
- System Link Compatibility
- Beta Testing and bug fixing
- Make satchel stick to walls (if possible)
- New Lobber (shotgun) skin
- New model for Lobber
- Inject new scripts
WEAPONS:
Spiker:
This is your starting weapon. "Fires deadly exploding spikes that will attach to an enemy and detonate. Also, has higher melee damage. (New Model by Doom and skin by Conscar) "
Brute Plasma Rifle:
Nothing changed about how this weapon is fired, but it does have a new bumpmap.
Brute Carbine:
Fires faster, but less powerful shots than the covie carbine. It also is equipped with a sweet red paint job to cover the old purple.
Beam Rifle:
Nothing changed here. New skin and new contrail to add to the brute revolution.
Lobber:
Possibly one of the best weapons out there. The Lobber is similar to the shotgun, only it fires a spread of small explosives. If you are hit by one, nothing big happens. If you get hit by the whole chamber, you die. The concussion of the bomblets exploding all at once will knock you down though.
Hammer of Dawn: (Model Needed)
For all you GoW fans! Custom made Hammer of dawn. There are only two shots when you pick this up, but that may just be enough. This thing activates a signal to a sattelite, and in return the sattelite fires a massive energy pulse strong enough to tear a Warthog to shreads. The weapon doesn't work inside of buildings.
Plasma Pistol:
Nothing New.
Satchel:
New grenade type. This small backpack contains a short range, but highly powerful explosion. This thing has a six second timer, and will detonate at that time, regardless of what, or who, is near it. This is great when you are being chased.
Spike Grenade:
Just like in Halo 3, the spike grenade sticks to objects and detonates with a large, powerful explosion. Use this with care, as the explosion radius is large, and will knock down, if not kill, any unsuspecting victims.
