With all due respect, I think it's fucking retarded when people moan about having troubles and problems, but decline to elaborate when asked. If you're not going to talk to people about your problems, they can't help you... so don't even mention your having problems.
I've been through absolute shit this year, but I didn't tell any of my friends how bad I was feeling, because I didn't want to explain the situation. There's nothing worse then seeing someone sulking, and making it obvious that there's a problem, only to be replied with "nothings wrong" or "long story, I don't wanna talk about it" when you ask them what's up.
I hinestly don't mean to sound like an ass, but if you're not willing to put your problems out on the table and talk about them, which will probably make you feel better, then don't mention them at all. What will it achieve?

The internet for its ubundance of people who value their operating system and the maker as a religion...
I can't go on youtube, cnet, joystiq, fucking anywhere without escaping the damn comments... It drives me to a point where I jsut get angry...I rarely get angry at anything, but this is just completley stupid and pointless...
Does it matter where the product is from or who made it? what matters is if you like it...Every person has their own opinion, respect the fucking thing. Those people are like F*cking mormons and christians, going around and attempting to force their religion onto other people! Nothing against either religion but how dare you try and force your opinions onto mine and its exactly the same with these goddamn apple microsoft people and the rest of those fanboy people out there.
and iGeo, I know what you mean, I dont mind if people don't want to elaborate, but when people draw attention to themselves and then avoid it...its just like WTF WAS THE POINT IN BRINGING IT UP! Was it to make yourself feel special in that people want to know about you? or do you just want attention?
Its not as if I'm going specifically after you JK-47, however you did bring it up, and you;'ve had plenty chances to elaborate. But if you;re not going to explain it, then don't bring it up. People should get a blog or a pen and paper and just vent if that's all you're aiming (which is what it appears as you do not want others to know about stuff).
No I'm not telling you to explain it, nor am I trying to be mean and making the situation worse...Its just something I don't like...As a lot of people do it it seems...Hell, actually, didn't I just do a rant on it?

I agree completely.iGeo wrote:With all due respect, I think it's *** retarded when people moan about having troubles and problems, but decline to elaborate when asked. If you're not going to talk to people about your problems, they can't help you... so don't even mention your having problems.

I have plenty'o stuff going on, and I will elaborate. I don't really trust, or even like a lot of people; but the people I do like I trust a lot and share a lot with them. Lately this has become quite the issue. I've lost more friendships in this single month than I have in my life. I guess people change, but when they're the only ones you have, it tends to hurt a little more. I screw up a lot, so I guess that'll be taking a large toll soon. My religion is also starting to annoy me; for a lot of the reasons Scotty just mentioned as well. My least favorite thing to hear a Christian friend say after I tell them of things going on in my life is "God is just testing you". Things have been about like this since I was little, so I guess I've been doing this "test" for a while. (The quotations of course signify that I don't believe in these so-called tests)
JK, I'm sorry for your troubles, but despite what you may think, you're actually not the only one going through a lot. I've got more that I wont mention as well, but it's all about how we handle it. At least me listening to my music wont kill my Liver.

I know what you're saying. But, it's something I would rather not talk about.iGeo wrote:With all due respect, I think it's *** retarded when people moan about having troubles and problems, but decline to elaborate when asked. I didn't ignore it, you just posted it when I was writing my post, so I didn't see it. And it's not that I'm not saying it because I don't want to get in trouble; it's just really personal.SHOUTrvb wrote:Did you ignore my post? And in your defense, I do think it's alright to just 'talk' about things happening without clarifying what those things are, but you don't have to worry about halomods "telling on you"; 90% live hours away from each other. We're sort of anonymous.

Guys we all have problems, no one lives a perfect life and sure maybe someone has more problems than you but that doesnt make your problems insignificant, one thing I've noticed about this site is that when someone does have a problem its like someone is always helpin them and thats really cool, now JK-47 sweetie I know you dont want to talk about your problems but let me give you a little advice, sometimes a stranger is the best person to tell your problems too, believe it or not mauro tells me about you guys sometimes when we eat dinner he will be like wow beezie is really making something out of himself, and he always talks about the delta halo group he is in, to him this site is a part of his life, some peopel think thats sad and i guess thats what im going to rant about, i dont feel its right to say someone is sad, or pathetic, just because they care more than others, all of you seem like wonderful people and i want to thank you for giving mauro a way to vent through modding, and even though it sounds weird he does love you guys and sees you guys as family, and one more thing this really makes me mad why do people think they are better than others just because more people know them, i seen that a lot on this site and even though ive only been a "member" for 3 days i have visited this site before and it bothers me that people are more willing to fight than unite.....

I make modding pretty!!!!
Thats so true, Ive never thought about it that way. If we would just help each other out and not fight we could be such a better "community"Diana wrote:even though ive only been a "member" for 3 days i have visited this site before and it bothers me that people are more willing to fight than unite.....

Wow, I can see that Trulife knows how to pick his women... Very well said, and even though I'm not much of a modder anymore, I agree with every word, and that people here do sometimes fight constantly when cooperating is going to get you much further (instead of making a big deal over who can make a bigger name in the Halo modding community). I admit that I may be the same way sometimes, but I still agree with you there, Diana.Diana wrote:Guys we all have problems, no one lives a perfect life and sure maybe someone has more problems than you but that doesnt make your problems insignificant, one thing I've noticed about this site is that when someone does have a problem its like someone is always helpin them and thats really cool, now JK-47 sweetie I know you dont want to talk about your problems but let me give you a little advice, sometimes a stranger is the best person to tell your problems too, believe it or not mauro tells me about you guys sometimes when we eat dinner he will be like wow beezie is really making something out of himself, and he always talks about the delta halo group he is in, to him this site is a part of his life, some peopel think thats sad and i guess thats what im going to rant about, i dont feel its right to say someone is sad, or pathetic, just because they care more than others, all of you seem like wonderful people and i want to thank you for giving mauro a way to vent through modding, and even though it sounds weird he does love you guys and sees you guys as family, and one more thing this really makes me mad why do people think they are better than others just because more people know them, i seen that a lot on this site and even though ive only been a "member" for 3 days i have visited this site before and it bothers me that people are more willing to fight than unite.....
