A request of sorts.
Now this is all well and good, I do indeed like reading that I have the support of many staff members, old and newer alike... However, it does not really do much in terms of confirmation...Will my "request of sorts" be granted? I am just curious to see if there is discussion of this elsewhere or if anything is indeed happening about it...
Thanks

Don't be so sure. There is currently no effort being put into fixing it.shadowkhas wrote:and it's just a matter of time before they work again.

How many months has it been? ;p [/arsehole]
But yeah that is I gues a fair point.
However, seeing as its about staff attention, I did bring up about how my previous thread was still stickied, lots of staff have been in this thread, I'm slightly surprised its still stickied. I would have undone it awhile ago, as I frequent the skins forum , which is essentially why I requested such a thing (plus for easy management of my competition and things like tutorials, skinning apps and outstanding skins)...It was also to stop me from pestering moderators for such a thing. When the report system was active, I'm sure you'd much rather it being something breaking the rules to fix than having an extra reported post saying "please sticky my thread mr moderator!"
Sorry if I am coming off as an arsehole, still (regardless of the [/arsehole] bit
), I'm not meaning to be with the previous statement, perhaps I shoulnd't post so early in the morning after going out...Hell, why am I even online?
but thanks for the post

Well there seems to be no clear signs of progression in this thread at all... I first became slightly excited from all the positive feedback recieved here...However it swiftly disapeared.
Anyway, I would like to change my request slightly...Not so much change, but add... I would also like the moderator privellages in that forum because I would in a way like to renovate it (to a degree
). By doing this I would be able to make the skins much more accesible to new users, have other users contribute and help out also...The things I want is mainly things like making people aware of excellent skins, creating a thread for all skinning tutorials and having an area to discuss how skinning is done and a place to submit, swap and critique other peoples textures and their sources...
Once again, you could bring up the arguement "but a moderator could do it currently", but the thing is, these things I am requesting would be dynamic, in that they are constantly changing. I want to be changing this myself in a way that I believe would work, and IMO it would not work if I had to do it through some other moderator who has no understanding or appreciation for skinning and texture work, plus, the moderator I choose to go after (not in a malicious sense
), would probably be plagued with pm's from me saying "change this, add that, sticky this, unsticky that". I just want to make the skins section more apporachable and a much better place to be than the almost deserted place it is when my competitions aren't running.
On another note, a simple "no we're not doing it" would suffice too...Instead of seeing a plethora of yes's only for nothing to happen...But then again, if things are happening in the uber secret hideout that is the moderator forum and my views are false, then I appologise. I am simply wanting to do good for the place.
