i made this awesome model, and i fixed the shaders, mostly, but for some reason, when i look at the sun, the model is how it's supposed to look. when i look away, part of the gun gets brighter?!!?!!?! anyone know why?!?! the bad part about this is that it'll do this even if i'm in the shade, in a building, anywhere! here are some pics

Aw, this happends to me as well. I found that a single value in the shader tag does it.
A value called "specularity" make the model have random bright faces. Set the value to zero.
It will still occasionally have some random shading but its hardly noticeable.

it didn't work. i went to the shader i'm using, i changed the specularity from 1 to 0, it didn't work, i even changed the saturation from 9.18355E-41 to 0, nothing happened. just a note, i duplicated the shader, so the original shader was preserved.
EDIT: wait, i think i may know the problem, i have this shiny thing in the map, lemme get rid of the specularity on that....
