Alley
Alley
I got bored last night and decided to search some photos to manip in photoshop, and I found this:

So I decided to manip it to be dark, gloomy, and depressing, and came out with this:

I know I probably have some things I can do to improve on it, so if you have anything in mind, just post. If not just comment or whatever.

L&L is the best plate Lunch you'll ever have. Ever.
A tad bit too dark, a color modification would be nice, and I would also support the blur effect with a strong background image. so lets say you got your document, and set it up as so:
]Color Balance/Levels
]Blurred image(with slight opacity change, enough that the image itself is crisp, but the blur is visible)
]Unaltered or sharpened image(If Sharpened, make sure that the sharpening done is real light, enough to emphasize certain points of the actual image itself.

Although I agree for the most part; sometimes someone else's photo is simply better. As long as someone is within copyright laws in the photography they use, there's really nothing wrong with using stock photography. Note: I take my own, but I don't mind others using my work (as long as they ask).Ombre wrote:Looks good, when doing manips it is usually better to use your own photo's, that way you have total control over how you make it.

Well, obviously if you suck at photography or there is nothing interesting in your location it would then be best to use stock photography.SHOUTrvb wrote:Although I agree for the most part; sometimes someone else's photo is simply better. It's not much of a photomanip in my opinion but it looks pretty good.
