Duplicating vehicles with different bitmaps

Duplicating vehicles with different bitmaps
i know how to duplicate a vehcile so that there are like for example, two different warthogs in one map. When i try to edit the bitmaps though, if i change one they both change. Is there an easy way to fix this? I want to have team colors for the different vehicles.

You're going to have to give up at least one vehicle bitmap slot. It could be something other than a rocket-hog though. Pretty much pick a vehicle you don't want to have in your mod, swap it for one of your duped hogs in the scenario and then give the duped hog the bitmap dependency of that old vehicles bitmap. Import your different hog bitmap in there and you're done.

hmn... i'm not quite sure what u mean by that, like do u mean when im doin the rebuild, go to levels folder then test folder then whatever map im doing folder and open up scnr.xml file for that map and do it that way? if so, cool thanks, if not, can u please send me a tut? Oh and is it possible to just get rid of a scenery i dont want instead?

Theoretically...you could do the scenery instead. Basically, do the same thing you would do to PMI a vehicle into your map and it in the map (like in this tut) except that you'll be PMI-ing a warthog (probably named warthog_mp2 or something like that). Then use HHT to d-swap the bitmaps warthog_mp2 will use to be that of the vehicle you replaced (see tut). Inject your new bitmap into that bitmap.

*EDIT*Ummm maybe i did it wrong but in my rebuild, i extracted the rwarthogs mod.2meta after recursively saving it and i duplicated the rocket hog by copying all thefiles and opening al the xml files in the folder and subfolders and chenged all the instances of vehicle\rwarthog to vehicle\rwarthog2. After that I went into the levels\test\dangercanyon folder and opened the scnr xml and i went down to the rocket hog. Then i copied the whole entire dependency for the rocket hog and pasted it below so there was two. I then changed the second one to rwarthog2. Next i found the scenery i wanted and copied its location and then deleted the lines for it. Then i changed the location for the rwarthog to that of what used to be the scenery. After all that i opened up HHT and went into the vehicles branch and clicked on the rwarthog2 to change its bitmaps but there was none, so i went down to the bitmaps and went to rwarthog2 and the only dependency in there was a bitm unknown dependency so i didnt want to change it. Did i do everything correctly up until that point? If so what do i do next and if not can u send me another tut or help? plz
