No actually...According to one genius of a man, if you use the Halopc.exe file instead of the H2Vista.exe file, it works on windows!!!!!!1!!

They were being sarcastic. Yes, you need Vista to play Halo 2 Vista, how could you even begin to think otherwise? It has the operating system right in the fucking name.
