Gears of War: 4 new maps

Post by CptnNsan0 »

wow big suprise to me. it snuck up on my. these new maps look like they are going to be very good. Only downside is they cost 800 points this time. they aren't free =(

Bullet Marsh

Image

In this Kryll-infested swamp, an old generator still powers the area lights. A few stray bullets could easily knock out the generator, leaving combatants to fend for themselves against the Kryll.

Garden
Image

This overgrown and crumbling conservatory still has a working fertilization and pesticide system. This system can pose a serious hazard to anyone who ventures into the greenhouse without first venting the air.

Process
Image

Teams must fight for control of this subterranean Imulsion processing plant, still active despite the cessation of the Pendulum wars.

Subway
Image

Timgad 's Central Subway station used to serve as a central hub for commuters. Now the tunnels are crawling with Locust.

My favorite by the pictures is definitly Subway. It looks great.

I'm gonna have quite a bit of fun turing off the lights and watching the fun...

I've only played one 3-round match on each map, then I had to stop because my hand hurt too much (I injured my wrist playing football in gym today). For what i've seen, they're all quite good. Swamp (or whatever the name is), is defenitely my favorite. I just wish that the Kryll would come down faster. WIth the lights off, I was able to run into the sniper spawn, pick up the sniper (no sliding glitch), and run out without even rolling or Roadie Running. About 3 seconds after i leave, THEN I hear the screams of the Kryll trying to attack me. Only downside i've seen yet.

I agree. my favorite is probably garden or the really dark map. I don't really like subway because it has no noticeable symmetry to me and I haven't played much of process yet.

I played them all a hell of a lot yesterday. Subway was such a let down, it's suck a small station and the outdoor area is pretty bland and the rain is just annoying.

The only other map i was kind of annoyed at was black marsh because if you went through the swamp instead of the catwalk there was no way to get up to the middle building unless you go back and up the catwalk or all the way around the map.
