I DIDN'T inject it i just took a hudless pic with dev mode and did a little editing to your hud and put it in the picture
No offence, but it's ugly. Not that it's your fault, I hate the H3 HUD with a passion. Realy hope it gets changed alot. Doesn't even feel like a halo HUD.

That's a pretty skewed opinion, considering most people think the same about the CMT HUD.

Well, we designed the CMT HUD to be "h2ish" in design with the shapes for the Ammo panel. I just think the H3 HUD is a pretty different design than either h1 or h2, with there being no blue backgrounds, and what seems to be a bare bones design.

I'm gonna go with M4573R51337 on this one. I'm not a huge fan of the new Halo 3 hud either.

No kidding? :?

Of course we're still seeing a bare bones design [we're not going to be playing with the refined, finalized HUD in the May beta], and of course the Halo 3 HUD has a different layout [it had changed even more between Halo and Halo 2, and we are seeing progression].

Remember, the first HUD that we saw for Halo 2 went through a complete overhaul by the time the game hit stores.

Yeah, changing the shield is complete overhaul. I'm sure they will change it, but we can expect the design of the Halo 3 HUD to be close to this.

you keep asking things at your gearbox copy of this topic, and ignoring whats happening lol.

I was making my own, but I think yours looks a little beter right now because of your ammo (I quickly did a ammo meter with a curve to it lol, it looks like crap).

one thing that you should work on with yours is that if you look at the healthbar closly, you see that the bottem is suposto be darker than the top. next, the hud should be in parts (seprate bitmaps). one for the background for sheild, next for sheild bar that drops, then one for grenade background, then one for the weapon picture, one for the ammo, and then might aswell have that divider line split up as well lol (it would be easyer for hud tagging like that, because have one child hud tag for ammo, then all the asault rifle link to that to save space as it shows the line and ammo number (thats how current asault rifle and stuff are, they have that box and ammo number as another weapon hud in the weapon hud)).

sorry if any of that got confuzeling, it seems like it might be, and im sick and have a stuffd up head so I might not be wrighting clearly..
Wow.. I havnt updated any of my stuff here since like 2 years ago.. lol

Halo 2 used the H1 HUD up until E3 Zanzi. Once they had the new look, they only changed the shield bar, and that was the final HUD.

The whole thing with this new HUD is that they said back in december that it was not permant, yet, they have kept it basicly the same up until the beta tests going on now. It doesn't take much more than a week to make an ingame working HUD. It isn't barebones because they havent finished it, it's barebones because thats the style they want it to be. The new H3 HUD is cool, but to me it just isn't halo.

If you're going to put this in Halo 1 or Halo 2, good luck making the motion tracker curved...

I don't like the design of the HUD, I think the re-creation of it is great.
