Oh no, 3 people.

But hell, they were Americans, and each American life is easily worth 100 Iraqi lives, so it's understandable that it got much less attention.

Actually, reported violent crime rates are typically rather steady, and have actually been declining over the last decade. It's just that now, it's a lot more publicized. Read up on some of the violent crime statistics.kornkidcrazy wrote:Anyways, it does suck that murder rates are going up faster and more frequently everyday, but I guess thats how this world works eh?

Narker, the reason we care so much is because Iraq has been pretty bad for a long time. For the most part, the amount of garbage like this we get a year is fairly minor compared to most. Plus, I care about most all lives lost, especially middle-eastern lives at the moment. I guess maybe it's time for America to get some of the suck...
everyone seems to be overlooking the fact thats people are killed everyday, some are just more newsworthy than others. as for the 4th branch of governments (aka the media) coverage on the war in iraq, to think that it would not severely biased is a laughable idea, wake up, turn off the tv and read more motherfu**ers
EDIT: and yes i did set aside 6 minutes to listen to the song and i think everyone should too.
ok, admit it. you and jk-47 are getting kickbacks from trent for promoting his ablum.shadowkhas wrote: Please listen to this song. Set aside 6 minutes.
I don't care if you like the band or not. Just listen and think.

A lot of people know what's going on, most are just too sick to care. "As long as I'm not dead or dying, I don't care." People need to realize that we need each other to survive. They focus too much on themselves, and not the imminent reality. There has always been murder, death, and evil, but now it's getting to point where people almost do it for fun.
