*prays not to get banned*

Okay, I JUST got the hardware to mod for the 360, and after looking at some posts, it doesn't seem like this is something that should be talked about but I need help getting the maps off the Halo 2 DVD so I can mod the mainmenu and coag and lockout and the other maps. Can someone tell me what I can do?

I didn't think that was possible...
I was under the vaguest impression that you could only access your harddrive and since nothing (programs) will run yet on a 360 (as far as a aforementioned, vaguely know) you can't get the disk onto you harddrive and thus no maps for you... unless you could just FTP things to your 360 HDD in which case you might be able to get the maps from *somewhere* and do that...but yea... lol... no... ha... I hope you get banned if you do that...lol...(Its past 12:00 so its not my fault...)

I'm pretty sure Xplorer360 allows you to FTP to the DVD drive, so use it to make your modded backup.

Modding on the 360 is possible. Most of us know about it. And even though there may be nothing wrong with it, we're still not going to cross that road until the 360 is fully chipped.
We do not support modding on the 360 for a few reasons. One of them is because it's very easy to mod on Live once you do know.
So, while we acknowledge the fact you can mod on the 360, we're not going to support it. Don't ask, as we won't tell.

impossible to mod halo 2 on live nowadays anyhow.. apparantly they have a built in MD5check now.. you get kicked from the game with a modded map in 2 seconds.. after that you can expect a matchmaking ban.

and modding the halo 2 maps in iso, will work.. but if you make mods which'll increase the original disc size, this modified ISO will not work..

Do it on an original xbox, or take your questions elsewhere.
End of story.
