Did you ever look at Katarn's topic, "Modeling for dummies"? I guess not so I'll post the link to some of the greatest plane modeling tutorials.
Video Tutorials on Modelling a Beretta 9000
<edit> Instead of double posting, I thought I'd just post what I got done on the model so far.

About 1-2 hours of work so far.

Srry to double post, but I finished the model. I'll be posting the pictures in a minute.
Pics:
<edit>I actually forgot to fix one part on the front grip of the model. I updated the picture below.

BTW I just noticed this post directed to me..
And your snide comment about me "sucking your balls". I'm sorry, I'm not a homosexual like some people on this forum...

Ehm ok, but I'd like to see some pictures to see if your model "pwns". I've seen some of your other models, and aside from a large amount of pulled verts I wasn't impressed..youhoo7 wrote:its a remodel but its realy good and why do you care tom clancy its him that wants it not you and just today i tested it and it pwnes so just put you mouth at my balls and shut up

It is in perspective, it just looks that way... It's probably just the angle.Leiukemia wrote:It's gotta be in user, I thought it looks funny. Switch over to perspective.

Ya, when Bacon told me It did kinda of look like an isometric render, but when I did User and Perspective renders at the same angle. The user was short and stubby, whilst the perspective was longer and thinner. If you want Leuikemia I could send you the pictures of user/perspective comparisons.
