Gears of War Template

I have been wanting to make a template for a while now. Ive been working on it for a few days on and off. I know its is very simple layout but I like it.

It's pretty nice, but the thing that bothers me the most is the Lighting on the character at the top. It doesn't quite seem to match the atmospherical light as the rest of the layout.

The text, font, whole right side of banner, and buttons bother me a lot. The text is terrible actually. However, I like the overall feel of the layout, and it could probably be really nice when finished.

I don't love it, but it's pretty good for your first.

Also, you've taken any possibility of customization out of it, so you wouldn't really be able to sell it.

Thanks for the replies and about the text my typography skills are horrible in everything I make. Thats one thing I need to work on.

In my opinion, it's too action-packed, it takes away from the contents of the site itself. Also, the text needs to contrast the background more. It can be hard to read if the text is too close in shade to the back.
