The person would be able to avoid it exactly the same as normal...if anything, that'd be a bad idea because it would most likely bounce off at some odd angle and come back at you (assuming it can bounce off the inner "walls").

The shield generator appeared to be rolling with the player who deployed it, so assuming you COULD get close enough to jump in...

I'm excited about the tripmines and what appears to be a porta-lift (in the video, hardly appears at all). It could make exploring much easier, instead of sword cancelling all over the place in a glitches game, just run and get the porta-lift to get you higher!

...unless bungie took that into account... which i'm sure they did.

True, but i'm saying it still rolled. Which i guess means it has momentum to keep the shield moving unless you forcefully keep it stationary, like placing it on the ground while standing still.

Who knows? Its all unfinished still. Bungie and their secrets

this bubble shield ball aka soccerball is too fat. a size of a grenade wouldve been enough. plus you should see it, like if you got one it should be equipped at your leg, like the smg.
this thing is big as MC

not only that but the mongoose is faster and not as bulky, wow with all this stuff the warthog is becoming less and less valuable

Bungie (Frankie or KP, I believe) said that while the Mongoose could beat the Warthog off the starting line, the Hog would win in a race.

ok, so the mongoose starts out faster but is generally slower than the hog? but id imagine that the mongoose would be better at maneuverability because its a smaller, tighter, build.

Indeed. I presume they will both be used frequently, I don't see the Mongoose as a Warthog killer.

yeah nothing substitutes for the violent shaking of the controller when mowing down some enemy infantry with the turret, or just shooting people in the face with the gauss

Since the Bubble Shield is so big and bulky, I wonder if you can kick it to move as you want?
You could move the Fusion Coils in Halo 2. And they even put in that giant soccer ball, so I think it's entirely possible that, for the duration the Bubble Shield lasts, you could make it a "Moving Bubble Shield."
I know that in the video he walked over the Bubble Shield and it didn't seem to be affected, but it's still cool to think about.

Also, I'm curious to see the animation of deploying this equipment.
They're so large that it'd just look really unnatural to just poop (frontwards-ly) out an exploding disc.

yeah but if you watch in the video when he destroys the warthog with the trip mine you dont even see an arm come out in FP, also its alpha so maybe they made the animation later in the process?

thats exactly what i was trying to say.
even with animation, that soccer ball is still TOO FAT to pop out masterchiefs little imaginary nonexisting grenadecontaining pocket.
they must rescale it, it looks dumb.

Hopefully it's a place holder, as it was from the alpha shots. The one from the commercial will do just fine.

I think the pose was him trying to stay standing when a wraith mortar hit the ground nearby.

If he did that every time you activated the shield, it would look weird.

yeah weird but oh so cool. and i think that the "soccer ball" model is just a place holder to show what it looks like rather than just a small thing just makes a large shield thing. also it might be small but then enlarges in the beta to the big size that they show

It's something that activates.

Also, JK-47, it was said somewhere that weapons would be reloaded via bumper.
yep, LB reloads left weapon, RB reloads right weapon

i think the X will be an activate button or switch grenades or something

remember, they have 3 D-Pad buttons available (4 if they drop the lowering weapon bit) so those might come in handy for grenades or something... maybe UP activates something
