I hope this makes them realize that, even if in the form of these waves (which they stole off of the UT2004 mod FragOps ), respawns can work in this game.
I'm not a fan of territories, especially in low health/realistic games because things tend to become "omg camp tiem"...but kudos to them.
I hate it. I'd rather have respawns in an execution gametype than in some failed attempt at KOTH (King of the hill). I found it to frustrating because all the hills are at weapon spawns which people switch weapons for boomshot so first one to the hill basically can pwn anyone coming there after them. Also the re-spawns are so far away from some hill spawns that they can gain 20 pts before your team gets close to where they are. Also it makes normal weapon spawns away from the hill useless because by the time you pick up a weapon they're ahead 10-15 pts.
The gametype in my oppinion fails miserably. It makes gears more like a halo killfest (note gears is a strategy game to some extent) than it's original intended fast paced strategic combat.
The only use I will find out of this gametype is playing with friends to kill and respawn but ignore the hills to keep the game going.
CTF would be better than KOTH. In my opinion.
from CNN-
"i love water. i dont love drugs. i dont want drugs in my water..why on earth is hannah montana more important than this?"
after playing this last night i found some downsides to it...not the games fault. People act like its warzone or any other mode and say "oh em gee im gonna goes for teh snipes lolz." when we are suppose to go to the boomshot spawn or some other spawn away from the sniper. They don't really help they just camp liek before.
ya i know..i find it annoying....they are useless...people don't realize it though. They always go for something else and i end up having to kill off 4 people by myself.
EDIT!: ALSO! GRRRRRR i have attempted to play some games of Annex today and i have played maybe 20 matches or more probably. I finished 1. The host ALWAYS quits. Thus i lose my points/kills....i had over 50 and he quit....ERRRRRR
