Spawn points and Sparkedit

Post by blowuptheking »

Yeah, I'm the guy who screwed up his first mod by trying to inject a wraith mortar (aka monkey wrench) into his map. I never did fix that, so I'm starting over.

Anyway, I've gotten back into it, and I've decided that I want to move the flags around. In addition to this, I'd like to keep the spawn points for CTF close to the new flag positions. However, I don't have any way of telling in Sparkedit which spawn points are for which gametypes and which ones are multi-purpose. I've tried using the "view object info" button, but it doesn't say anything about gametypes. Is there any way to tell which spawn points are which? I'm using Sparkedit 3.02.

Lol. Um, is there maybe a different option thing for it. Like, MP Equpment, CTF Spawns? I doubt it...

*bump* Does anyone else have any other ideas? Perhaps a different version of sparkedit would have this feature?

Yes, but I'm looking for a specific KIND of spawn point. CTF in particular. For example, the spawn points in the middle of the map won't spawn CTF, Race, or any other team type. But they will, however, spawn for slayer, oddball, and all other FFA types.

There is no way to know except to observer where the player spawns, or i guess you could open the scenario in sapian and mark down which spawns have ctf selected and then move those in sparkedit.

welll all the spawns for ctf happen to be around the bases typically so move those ones and no other ones. Makes sense huh?
