Upcoming Deviation

Post by maca_§ »

Mkay,

I'm making this scene for a contest at dA and am hoping for the best!
Only thing is I've worked into this enough to get stuck and stall..
Like usual I get off to a flying start then just lose my ideas.

So, can you guys help me out with this - I need your opinions, ideas and just general whatever :D!

I like the piece, but for some reason, I don't really like the right side of the terrain. The rest of it is great though.

Looks great Maca, I just suggest blurring the trees maybe a little bit, and giving them a blue or like whitish-yellow filter. The brown kinda stands out.

Blast you Maca! I'll never give help to the enemy.

Jusy Kidding, it looks great, I really can't see anything I don't like about it.

I love the angle. It just makes me feel like I'm flying through the air. The planet texture does seem a little bit flat, but that's the only bad thing I see about it. :D

Thanks! Originally, this pic was completely different to what it is now.
It's gone through about four re-makes and every time I re-made it it always had trees/a rock formation blocking nearly all of the right side.
This time though it's on a difficult angle and would be harder to fit it in... But I do need something there..

gh0570fchurch - Yeah I'm having real trouble with making my planets actually look and feel like actual spherical planets..
That and shit load of other things is what I needa work on.

NSN711 - :p, thanks and yeah the main big clouds are one big stock. The rest of the smaller ones are lots of mixed stocks.

Thanks for the comments everyone!
Keep it flowing :D

Everything but the ground looks so real. Not that there is anything wrong with the ground, it just has a computerized look to it.
This is amazing maca, I love the light going through the clouds.

Yeah the terrain needs work.. Needs to be more realistic.
I need to block a lot of it out as well in my opinion.

Thanks though!
