Too much room for improvement to take such an ostentatious approach to such a topic title.
Veegie if you want to say it isnt good make one better, that edits tags. I know accatl rednering is better but this is for editing also...

I didn't get what was funny, nor do I see how this is anything special.

I have to make something better in order to tell someone what they did isn't impressive?
Oh my.
Movie critics are making movies these days too, right?

I agree with Kirk.

It is special because its going to be public unlike may other programs, And this will work with decompiled tags that H2Core decompiles...

That is just awesome!

I think you need to render that with light too, it doesn't have the lights on the render no? ( I mean the sky lights and global lighting)

Anthony, the Yelo trainer allows you to set the global lighting. So talk to xbox7887 to see how to work the lights. That way, you'll get be able to render very close to how the game render. And also, you need to get the sky on. It affects the lighting too.

I'm disappointed that I had to clean this thread.
Things to make sure of in the future, to prevent potential locking:
1) Avoid a bunch of religious discussion.
2) Don't use a thread to start making character attacks on people.
3) Stay. On. Topic.

This looks awesome man! Stuff like this will be great for skinning when I can't use my xbox. It'll also make testing of select textures quicker. Good work!

I don't want to bring this down and make fun of this cool WIP, but I am very confused about what this appears to do.

It obviously is a bsp editor; however, everytime we make an edit using this app, we will have to save, rebuild, and then resign, and then ftp? I have heard where rebuilding only takes about 45 seconds, but I have also been told it takes a few hours. Now my question is, why would you want to change the way everyone mods when you can just make a map bsp viewer with an amazing bsp viewer. This way, you can do everything using the everyday tools and then edit the bsp viewer with a H2 Sapian type of app, and then saves and then ftp.

Anyway, I am not saying this because I cant get H2 Core to work. I am just trying to figure out how this will work out if it takes a few hours to rebuild a map.

it depends on your computer spec, the better it is the faster the build

this well be so awsome because it will allow you add new spawns directly to the viewer, which makes things a lot easier and less time consuming also it brings the potential for creating maps from scratch

well if I did it the way you have suggested like entity works, I would have to recode almost all of it because it it based off of decompiled tags. it is based off of h2cores halomap library. Not only does the library not have a function to resave a meta without build/rebuilding but we wouldent be able to add chunks wihtout this. so no matter what it would have to build/rebuild

entity doesnt work great with maps that have been rebuild, and after trying to make my own mod I figured hell ill just make a new app to add/edit spawns before I rebuild that way I dont even have to use entity at all... So this is a private app and I dont even know if I am/can release this. but if I do it will be only for decompiled tags.

Ok, well yeah I am glad for the new information. Would be cool to see halo 2 modding evolve into a halo ce style of modding. Anyway, hopefully all goes well, keep up the good work poke and ant.

To all people who dont get the funny, its funny because he has it and we dont, and he can post pictures and laugh at how bad we want it. Sort of like that "God is a mean kid on an ant hill expression". (And im a christian so ya.)

And back on topic, this looks very nice anthony. If you and poke are coding this, this looks like it will be the best program ever created by you guys, or best program created for the modding community period. I cant wait to see this released and I hope this all goes well. Happy coding!

Agreed. Looks awesome Anthony! Keep at it and hopefully this will just add to the awesomeness that is h2core and h2guerilla. Hope it's coming along as well as I hope.
