How do I add pictures to the Maps I add to the Mainmenu?

I have been using GFAT's Adding Maps to the Mainmenu tut, if that helps anyone, lol

The pictures are located in

[bitm]
-ui\code_global_bitmaps\multiplayer*

Just inject the pictures in the right format and they will show up.

Open DotHalo
Open your mainmenu.map
Go to the bitm tag
Go to ui\code_global_bitmaps\multiplayer#(which ever number your new map is)
a box will show up showing a blank image
click Inject Bitmap
locate your picture(must be a .dds and saved as a A8R8G8B8)
Save Resign FTP

What about making the pictures custom, like a pic of the actual Modded Map?

Can I use Photoshop CS2 to do it? Or do I HAVE to use GIMP?

Here is a link to the dds plugin topic, I can't see why it wouldn't work with CS2

http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.ph ... 87&t=20850

Actually as I read further I see that the tutorial in that thread is using CS2 so yeah it will work.
