puting halo2 on hard drive question

im following a tutorial on how to put halo 2 on ur hard drive but i dont know what its asking me cuz it says to make sure that auto disc start is turned off... what does this mean.. i dont understand

Some dashboards have a feature that automatically will start a game when you pop it in the disc tray. If you turn the feature off, then when you put the disc in the tray, it won't boot the game automatically. XBMC uses this feature.

does this mean that i need to get a different dashboard.. cuz all i have is the normal one for my xbox...

but i can hotswap so should i just turn my xbox on without the disc then put it in after it get to the dashboard cuz then it wont boot up the game... just wanderin if it works or not.

Yes. Just boot the xbox with your modded dash. After the dash loads, pop the disc in. It should play, then from their you can ftp and get the maps off the disc.

where can i get a modded dash from... the only one i hav is splinter cell, which is what i used for modding my new maps, will that work...

yes. Whatever splinter cell uses as a dashboard. "Whatever splinter cell loads".

ok well i now have the modded dash and everything the only thing is that i want to put the killtrocity mappack v2 on my xbox but how do i do it?

There is a tutorial that comes with the killtrocity map pack. Use that. This is also in the wrong section.
