r0tten, I disagree completely

I saw the 7:00 showing last night, and this movie... no, 300 does not diserve to be belittled with the title 'movie'.

This cinematic experience was absolutely amazing (I don't want to go into detail and spoil it, but I almost feel bad for those of you that have been unable to 'witness the majesty'). I had an adrenaline rush just sitting in the movie theater watching the battle scenes.

P.S. Those spartans got so many killamanjaros, they were like level 43 legit at least.

P.S.S. 300 is now my desktop background

I'm sorry, but that's not anywhere close to what you made it seem. :|

The way you said it was that you were looking forward to it and was a huge fan of the creator. You also pretty much mentioned that it sucked.

Maybe before you critique me on not reading your post, you should read your own post a bit more thoroughly.

That's exactly what me and my friends thought about 300. A lot of people were complaining about how the fight scenes look like a video game... This is based off a graphic novel (basically a comic book) and I think they capture the style of Frank Miller's 300 absolutely perfectly. I can't wait to see it again this week.

they captured his artistic style but lost it on the story. if you've ever read the graphic novels then you know what i'm talking about.

I jsut got back from seeing it. It certainly was not the best movie I have seen, but it was very good. The special/visual effects were amazing, but the story and dialouge wasnt planned all tha great, in my opinion.

It was ok. I went and saw it at an Imax theatre, so it was even more "Oooh, aaahhh"-tastic.

It really could have lost all the nudity, and kept the same ambiance.

Also, my one -_-'s of the show... you'd think a trained-from-birth warrior would be smart enough to not face his back to the enemy, not stand prone, and not hear a galloping horse come up from behind.

In IMAX it was fucking incredible. I loved from beginning to end. Awesome movie.

EDIT: Anyone else see an extremely scary Goat on the part where the deformed man is talking to the Persian King. It stayed on the goat for a full minute. I think I'm gonna have nightmares...

It wasn't just any horse, it was a white horse man! And if you saw throughout the movie the Spartans had to watch eachothers backs, they may be great warriors but they are still only human.

That movie was so fucking awesome. Pretty much every guy on my lacrosse team went to see it, that shit gets you so pumped. I believe it's been said before, but I believe it's the "guy movie to end all guy movies".

That's about it for me too. A lot of unneeded scenes, and wtf didn't the spartan standing not 3 directly beside him not help? Aside from the this, the movie was incredible. I saw it last night, and today with my dad (very awkward during a few scenes) and I was quite pleased with the movie as a whole. However, I was somewhat disturbed when I saw 2, little 12 year old girls from my youth group walking out of the screen room. My theater has the worst, and I mean the worst security ever. :|

I really liked the movie in general. so much that I saw it 2 times. tons of action and the dialog wasn't that terrible in my opinion.

I kept thinking of the Lion King when I was watching the movie....

like... right away when they held the kid off of "Pride Rock".... and then that hunchback guy made me think of that crazy monkey...

It was a pretty solid movie though... I almost fell asleep at some parts though :S
