My new computer will be here in a few days and im wondering if vista has any problems with any of the modding apps we have so far. Also, is it possable to boot XP through an external harddrive?

It is possible to boot xp through an external. I did have problems with the chunk cloner in vista. Also, ProjectP wasn't working for me in vista either. lol talked to Anthony about it but he doesn't have vista so I doubt there will be a fix for that anytime soon. Now i just boot xp for modding and other stuff and vista to have for fun and for h2vista when it comes out.

Not necessarily. Some programs just don't like to work with vista.

have you guys having problems with apps right clicked on their exe's and told the apps to run in compat mode w/ XP SP2? Idk if that may help but the SP2 mode and desktop compression box in exe properties helped me get H2C and H2G working...

I too am getting a new computer soon. Should be ordering about $2000 in parts this weekend. :)

I don't like the sound of two boots fighting each other :?
Yea, from what I've heard it's the sandbar and sanddock dlls. Any application that uses them won't work on vista.

I already planned on duel boot. XP is going to be installed on my external harddrive. I just need to buy the enclosure to make it external first. That way two systems arent fighting each other.
