Veegie, Because of the angle the picture was rendered at, it looks like the handle is extremely small, and since brutes have big hands he was noting that it looks impossible for a brute to fit there hand in the handle.

I'm pretty sure he was aware of that.

Psssst. You can't post leaked images.

Expect a mod to delete those. Or just remove them yourself.

I'm still unimpressed by the graphics from these alpha shots. The shotguns reticule looks stupid, why is it stretched vertically?!

Also, what do people think the current FoV of these Halo 3 shots? Personally I don't like it, I prefer a decreased FoV and the gun to take up more of the screen, so you can admire the pretty details.

Yes people seem to dislike the graphics for silly reasons, but why continually say it? Its still the old alpha picks, they have since moved on... Even if it hasn't improved, I still don't care.
I'm surprised that you went after the shotgun crosshair instead of the Snipers though, which isn't centred and the scope doesn't display the other side.
As for the Fov, I don't care about that issue either...

And to bring up again...Its still alpha here...

Technically its only me animating though ;)

They think, "Hey these are pictures of a build that the public was never meant to see", I'd imagine.

The alpha is a network test build exclusively, strictly for internal use.
Why would they care if a build, designed solely to bring in mass-amounts of network feedback data that would normally be unattainable through Bungie employees only, didn't look visually-stunning? To be quite frank, it'd be a waste of time.
What did they want? Network stability input on a large-scale.
Was the public ever meant to see this build in any way, shape, or form? Nope.

To make this build visually up to your 'expectations' would be a complete waste of time.

I agree that you are backing it up, but your info is quite wrong.

The alpha is actually more to get feedback then anything, and it also created a lot of hype around halo 3.

The BETA is made to stress test teh internal shit, seenig at only a few thousand have the alpha, MANY thousands will have the beta.

Oh my, what a case you make. I agree that I'm backing it up as well. Now that we have both exercised our comprehension publicly, let's continue.
JDMFSeanP wrote:The alpha is actually more to get feedback then anything
Yes, network feedback. Which is what I just said in my post... If you're referring to visual feedback as well, you're simply wrong. Bungie refers to the Alpha, as a whole, as a "network test".
JDMFSeanP wrote:and it also created a lot of hype around halo 3.
It wasn't even supposed to be known, outside of the testers.
So I ask you, how does something thats existence is not known generate hype?

... learn English. I can't even pretend to know what you said, much less guess at it. I'll respond to that last mass of words when you can re-type it into something that isn't filled with asterisks and non-existent words.

Veegie, JDMFSeanP, the discussion is over. If you're going to argue, take it to PM.

Oh, and Veegie, don't spam with any further sarcastic rebuttals unless you just like having your posts removed.

Veegie, I only asked what do people think of the FoV in those alpha pictures. That is all. There was really no need to get upset and defensive... it was just a simple question, to make conversation.

I didn't say "omg they should spend more time on the graphics on the network testing builds" or anything of the sort. I merely expressed my opinion of the graphics shown in the currently available pictures of the alpha, and asked if people like the FoV it's currently running in.

I think you should try keep more to the point, rather then going off on a tangent just because someone said something negative about this oh-so precious game.

It doesn't look too bad, even for a network test build. I'll wait until beta to judge though since everything will be fixed to upgraded to near final.
