I generally hate SP in these types of games. Is it any good? Worth getting?

They can be quite compelling...C&C is renowned for their deep story lines, with biblical references, certain plot twists... Whilst the storyline may make you want to complete the game, it does not do too much for the game play, it is ultimately the same (some changes, new units, restricted building capabilities can apply) game as a skirmish... At people usually claim it to be training for multilayer as it goes through many many strategies on how to defeat the enemy.

If you disliked previous C&C storylines, then don't bother with buying it for SP...MP is where its massively popular anyway, online domination rules.

^agreed (didn't feel like qouting that whole thing)

The theaterical (can't spell >_>) real life/CGI cutscenes are teh coolest part of the single-player campaign I remember back in red alert they used a real-life/CGI cutscene for when the russians went back in time and killed hitler so the russians would start to take over the world with no opposition and I've been hooked ever since.

Some people asked for system requirements, well here you go.

System Requirements:

Minimum
* Windows XP, Windows Vista
* 2.0 GHz or higher, or AMD equivalent
* 512 MB RAM or more
* 8x or faster DVD
* 8.0 GB or more of free space
* GeForce4, ATI Radeon 8500 or greater video card
* DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
* 56 Kbp/s Internet connection (2-8 players), Broadband-class connection

Takes up a lot of space, :)

shadowkhas wrote:Everyone know about the Nod hack? To play as Nod, open the menu with the factions, put your mouse on Nod, push N, click, and push N again.

You can do the same with the GDI for the enemy.
Yeah, but don't try to be the Scrin. >_>

There's no graphics for the units, so you auto-lose. XD

Also, there's no voice over for NOD...
My friend has been able to exploit it to get into the online menu...Just a pity there is no online server yet :P

Also, its possible to select the different AI styles with the same method, do they work?

I'm pretty sure the AI styles work with that hack as well.

I'm not typing out my specs. again, so I'll quote the post your setup thread:
Alexander wrote: My computer had modern components like two years ago, but I don't do much gaming anymore so it's still a decent setup.
  • Monitors
    20.1' Widescreen Viewsonic DVI Monitor
    Princeton 19' DVI Monitor

    Computer
    Cooler Master Centurion
    200 GB Maxtor SATA 150
    80 GB Samsung ULTRA IDE
    Some Lame Foxconn motherboard
    2 GB Twin Corsair XMS PC3200 at CAS timings 2-3-3-6
    3.2 Prescott HT Intel (It was good when I bought it, don't laugh :( )
    XFX 6800XT 256MB AGP (Again, old hardware)
    550 Watt Aspire Power Supply
    Creative X-Fi Gamers edition
    Old Logitech Z340's, soon to be upgraded to Z-5300's

    OS's
    200 GB Maxtor:
    Windows XP Professional SP2 (Primary)
    Apple OSx86 10.4.7 (Used very rarely)

    80 GB Samsung
    Windows XP Professional SP2 (Used if something goes wrong with primary booting)
I'm also installing Vista Enterprise in a few days, when I'm bored I guess.
I installed Vista Enterprise, and I don't know if the graphics architecture is slow or something, because with my machine I can't turn everything up to 1280 x 1024 without it hitting ~15-20 FPS. I know my graphics card is old, but I thought it would hold up to an old engine. Guess not.
