HELP! ZOOM 8x on pistol or rocket launcher

I've searched, but I cannot find how to create an extra zoom for the pistol or the rocket launcher.

im using mac version of hmt

In HMT, the [weap] tag should have an option for the zoom levels. If you find it the boxes, they should be filled like 1 2 2. Change each of those boxes to 2 2 8. This tell halo that there are 2 zoom levels, 2x and 8x.

yeah HMT is not gonna do the job for you. It might be possible with Eschaton, but I haven't tried. It works on the same principles as what they're telling you to do with HMT, but there might be some issue about referencing the zoom hud. But mac HMT ain't the one to use.
