{ghc}PvtPwn Taking Mod Requests!!!
Hey guys, I got great news!!! I can make almost ANY mod now thanks to Eschaton 0.3!!! SOOO.... Post all requests for any mods that u want me to make here plz. Thanks and I hope to see your ideas.
I hate to break this to you, but there are many things that Eschaton cannot do. (which is why it's in version 0.3, if it were the "end all" of modding apps you really could do anything) To my knowledge, it is roughly on par with HMT v3. There are a couple of apps on the mac that do things Eschaton cannot do:
Tag import/export (which requires map rebuilding)
Bitmap import/export
Model import/export
modify names of items
Several things that PC users can do with minimal effort include:
Moving/adding the locations of items and spawn points on the map
Tag making
Adding new models (not replacing existing ones)
Adding new bitmaps
Add/modify sounds
modify lightmaps (this has been done on macs but only by very experienced demo modders)
If they are particularly talented they can also:
script AI
write animations for models
build entirely new maps
I'm afraid that in terms of capability you are unable to do many things in modding. But, something that makes modding worthwhile isn't necessarily what can be done but what you do with it. If you can think of something interesting and original, it doesn't matter that other people have the capability to do it. It matters that you did it. Oh, and I'd recommend posting your mods in the Mac Downloads section rather than just the Downloads. Good luck with your mods though.

Me
Well man, I hate to break this to YOU, (wait, not really, but whatever lol) but I have HMT 0.5 (skinning), HMT 0.75 (dependancy swapping, sorry I don't like eschaton for that), OBJ Converter (Importing/Exporting Models into Halo), HHK, HHK 0.1, HHK 2, HexEditor, PFF-O-Matic, PFFMaster, and CMP. I think I have enough for a LOT of modding, lol! So, BTW, I just made a new mod that I'll post soon in the Mac Downloads section. (Oh yeah, I forgot, you're in the credits for Eschaton 0.3
)

Re: Me
I don't think it's good to take mod requests so early. Try to expiriment with every tool and master most skills(modeling, skinning, rebuilding, etc.). Also, it's nice that you're so thankful for these tools, but they're really not so special as they seem to you..
