3D Studio Max - Battle Rifle

Post by iFantasmic »

Hi, nice forums here.

I ripped a BR from the Halo 2 Disc using downloaded maps and the program 'Entity.' When I imported this into 3D Studio Max, the BR has no shading/textures/materials added to it, just solid gray. There is a folder called 'Textures' that always appears when I extract things from the disc. It contains .mtl files with self-explanatory names, describing where on the BR the material exists. I went to the Materials pallette and loaded each .mtl onto a different ball and then clicked Apply to Selection. Nothing happens!

Any help on putting these materials to work would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!

you cant extract halo 2 shaders with any public programs, you have to create them yourself. the best you can get is what you have, labeled mtl's. you need to extract the bitmaps for the battle rifle and then apply them.
