Well now that the AOtcr is out Mono Maybe you could give us a date on when you are planning to release hmt 3.5??? That is if you are still planning on releasing it? But all i have to say is thanks so far to you(Mono) and Grenadic for all that hard work and effort that you guys have put into halo and making it a much better game than what it was before!!! And keep it up cause i bet that you guys can get a better program or two together by the time that the HEK comes out. But anyway I love you guys for what you have done so far for the halo modding community. and thanks again!!!!!!!!!!

Have you noticed, that besides the AOTCR mod, there hasnt been a great mod for ages, im just trying to think what the last one was.
hmm, the last one i downloaded appears to be, well, not on my hardrive!

But guess what? i have 15 vids, and they are all not out yet!

and speaking of HEK and 3.5, i dont want them to come out just yet, a suttle reason yes, but i really do need to finish my perfect model mod, and actually release it, with a tut, if anyone wants it.

See.. I'm not gonna spend time and effort researching coding and debugging so that someone else can use it in a mod and slap their name on it before I get a chance to release mine. But I wanna clarify though - it's not about me getting credit. Personally, I don't care if I get credit for anything. But no way in hell is someone ELSE gonna get credit for something I did.

Plus, you have to admit. If someone releases a mod just like yours - even if it is inferior by far - the impact your mod will have on the community when it comes out will not be nearly as great.

All that said, I want to apologize as well. A lot of this is my fault for sure - I posted info about this stuff a looong time ago and have yet to deliver. I'm sorry for that - it's taken a lot more time than I thought it would.. but I'm not holding out. I just want to finish my mod before I release the tools and tutorials.

I have the best of intentions and want to have fun with this stuff and I want all of you guys to have fun with it too. I understand how you feel, but at the same time you have to understand where I'm coming from too.

I will share my info with all of you, but only after I finish my mod.

just tell people about what you're doing, that was what I was asking... I understand that people will get greedy about this, and sympathize about this, I've had it happen in real life. more times than months anyone here's been alive. point: sucks ass to be smart.

i have to agree with that qoute from monocideC me and a group of PRIVATE modders have somewhat disovered how to convert and we dont wanna release our discoveries but then we though about what monocidec said and decided to keep it to ourselfs ofcourse we will release in time but for now we secret and ya i do not like to release

I'm ok with people with people withholding information till their mods are done, I get annoyed when people let us KNOW what they have done, but not how they did it. it's all these "previews" and then, when the mod IS RELEASED (ala library) we don't get a shred of info. But thats not what gets me real mad, you see. It's that all these "Mega-mods" overshadow all the mods Good, but not excellent modders like myself make. I put my heart and soul into my mods, but never get any attention because everyone is too busy "playing the "Uber pimptastic modder's mod", which they were only able to make because they have information we don't. I say don't let anyone know about your mod until it's done, then release ALL THE INFORMATION AND PROGRAMS with it so others can follow and yours doesn't overshadow, yet you still receive credit for being "the first". There, everyone is happy.

Yah i totally agree with that. But on the other hand now that mono is done the aotcr mod why can't release hmt 3.5???

Mono's right, it would piss me off to if someone else got credit, althought mono has achieved super-god-like-awsome-hero-worship-above-grenadiac-but-we-can't-say-that-because-gren-made-this-site status and if/when mono leaves us, he will go down as a legend.

p.s.Was there ever an HMT 1 and 2, or did we just skip to HMT 3?

I know that there was a 2 because thats what i started modding with but im not sure if there was ever a 1. I suppose that there was but i bet it would have sucked.(compared to what we have now anyway)

sooo......no one is going to point out flaws in my method? Theyre just going to shut up and not say anything? nothing is going to get resolved? please.....we need a conclusion. A post to decide if this WILL be the method, otherwise, the past WILL repeat, and someone will do this again eventually....taunt us with amazing mods that will never come out, delay a amazing tool...(mo offense mono...) and no one will ever advance in status do to these mods. we will go nowhere and n00bs will be n00bs forever.
