YOYORAST ISLAND V2 : Model finished (56k don't try this)

Post by yoyorast »

Yeh guys, Finally after all this time (more than one year) and all these nights of hard work alone in my bedroom.. I've got V2 model done! :hellyeah:
Sure it will need some corrections after being able to test the futur playable beta version from TheGhost, but not as much as V1 needed after the first alpha... I still need some time to adapt (big work) the model to max (it is still in amapi format for now), so I'll send it to you Ghost in the next 2 weeks...

- I won't comment much on the pics, you just have to know these simple textures are nothing to do with those you'll find in the game (they'll look more like v1)..
- These pics are just to show a bit of the evolution of the model (much of the new corridors and news indoor rooms are hided...
- There are no more ladders in the towers, I prefer gravity lifts (even if lagging)..
- The Banshee will only appear in Slayer and king mode..
- The doors/ineruptors system is still planned..

Enjoy.

yoyorast one question, where do u get this kind of inginuity? i mean all the mechanics working so flawlessly, all the paths etc, i mean this map was like defining race in a whole new way, also with CTF and others, its like Halo reborn.

I was hoping you'd post it here so I could say it's amazing. Can't even begin to understand how you thought all those tunnels up.

Wow... this looks really cool.

I hope there's an easier way down to the last nav in race, though... that drop looks tough. Some way to drive up onto the top of the hog garage and then down might work. Maybe that's what you have planned?

Hi Guys, no big news yet unfortunatly... Since my last update I didn't got much time to make progress ... Life things (I think I'll have more time soon)... I just took the time to make some changes on the roof's bases area cause I wasn't happy with the design there. I guess and hope its nor styled now.. Also changes the gameplay : Now (when riding hog) you'll have to jump from the last ramp onto the roof's base where the 2 teleporters are placed now... this results in : no more passing flag, no more accesible for bipeds and a fun little last jump before you can get the flag. Take a look at the pic.. More pics at www.yoyorast.com
