Skorpion SMG (w.i.p.)

Post by SnaFuBAR »

Well, here's a day's worth of work. The Skorpion SMG will be featured in my modern combat mod as a secondary smg. Since it's the same caliber as the mac11, the ammo will be shared. Anyways, the poly count is high, almost 4k triangles. I will be lowering that before getting it mapped and skinning it.

Here's a couple of images.

I will be adding a red dot sight and/or a silencer.

Wow, its great. Great detail, poly count is a bit odd, nonetheless a great model.
Can't wait to see this baby skinned.

thanks for all the comments guys. I got a bit out of hand with the poly count on the handle, which is a major source of my poly count. I'll also be cleaning up the the area where the barrel merges into the reciever. Maybe doing a lower poly wire stock as well, but we'll see. I'm trying to learn how to uv map. If i can't figure it out, i'll shove it off to someone else hahaha. But, I will be skinning it myself.

Here's a small update on the skorpion. I've added the front ironsight and the tension clip which holds the wire stock in place.

i can't fix the render error for some reason. i think i left my laptop on for too long... so you know it's not a model error or smoothing error.
