Around October. 22nd 2004, i think. I played some early Halo 2 build (won a contest).foxfanatic23I7 wrote:What is this? Me and Halo0001 were looking around in the mainmenu, and found this pic:
This is the tag name:
ui\screens\game_shell\load_level\load_level
The only thing available was Zanzibar, with a few spawns only set on the Beach, around assault bomb position.
More interesting, was when you went to campaign, the quoted picture was the only level visible. So i gues it's true it is some old incomplete level.
Later that night we got to play Coagulation (which was super secret) on some crappy laggy 42" plasma tv, Yay!
I'd have to agree with foxfanatic23I7 and his assess ment of these pictures although some things need to be noted about them.
Pic 1: Looks much like a picture from Outskirts (single player rather than multiplayer).
Pic 2: Is an early version of the Arbiter level on the station in the storm.
Pic 3: Is an unskinned version of Sentinel Walls
and Pic 4: Well i have no idea appart from that it might be an early multiplayer map of Delta towers before it was designated to be more of an ancient structure with brock rather than metal

The fourth one seems to have 3 wraiths on the lower platform, It definietely was a beta, probably jsut an experiment to see how the architecture would look in-game for delta halo.

OK I know what the purpose of those are. Bungie wanted to shove them into the mainmenu so we could recreate everyone of them and then bungie would be so happy that they would release the maps and modding programs. Yay.
/sarcasm.
It would be cool if bungie released them in there next map pack. Like if they added some sp maps to the campaign. That would kick major ass hole.

Hmm, why would they have pictures for maps that aren't done? Most importantly, where would they get the pictures?

Everything you'll ever need to know about me.
Need help with Linux, C#, C, Python, Java, PHP, Javascript, CSS, or VB? I'm available from 3:00PM-8:00PM EST on weekdays.

Coagulation was not super secret either. Bungie told us ahead of time there would be a Blood Gulch remake.

I unlocked them but I can't show anybody because they are ultra super secret.
Most of them look like the levels Arbiter and Oracle, but with different weather.

Your sig can't exceed 500x120 and 75kb in file size.
