Blu-Ray vs. HD-DVD

Off topic chat. Basically anything that doesn't concern halo or halo modding can go here.

I play games for the gameplay, but I don't want Halo 3 looking like an N64 game. You're right, visuals don't determine content, but they do add to it and enhance it.
I'd hardly make the comparison of SD and HD to 360 and N64 graphics. I'd have no problem whatsoever playing Halo 3 in SD.

Alright, my analogy was a bit hyperbolic, bu the point I'm making is better visuals help enhance the experience. Gears of War for example.

Won't be anywhere near as funny as when I saw it, but on the episode of the Simpsons where Homer gets attacked by the bear, he goes to the dump, walks past a heap labelled; "VHS" then a heap labelled "Betamax" and finally a heap named "Reserved for DVD" How wrong they were, eh?

Should say Blu-Ray... I like the name, but it's not consumer friendly. Time will further back my idea of it failing.

I feel the same way.

I was wondering if this was going to end up as Sony shooting themselves in the foot.
