obviously you dont. why would they make it invisible? its out of the camera's fov, but it doesnt mean its not there.

Explosive, how did you notice that? Do you have x-ray eyes? I saw what you were talking about when I watched it again after I read your post, but I had to go frame by frame to see it.

The humans use morphing technology, see, the ATV can change into a Hog and back at will. Also, the pistol can shorten itself!

Maybe it's the angle, I notice the angle changes slightly as the camera zooms out. W/e, this is offtopic anyways. I thought this topic was about whether it's the Halo 1 pistol, not whether MC is magic.

Well, we already came to the conclusion that it's some sort of mix between the Halo 2 and Halo 1 pistol, though obviously nobody can be certain at this point.

It HAS to be different...Bungie's said many times that they didn't like how the pistol was balanced, and won't reinstate it. We can't make assumptions, really. The only credible information I see out of the new pistol is:

Scope, due to the bump on the front
Smaller clip size or smaller caliber bullets, due to no "hanging" clip.

Okay guy, let me clear up a few things for you. I found the highest resolution video of this trailer available on the internet and extracted it into about 2000 high resolution still images. I inspected every single image, followed the camera angles, and referenced the relative position and orientation of the Master Chief, Warthog, Mongoose, assault Rifle, pistol, debris, craters, incoming fire, contrails, grass, Brutes, Wraiths, aircraft (unclear as of yet but either Banshees or Shortsword fighters), sunlight, and the children.
I have come to a few conclusions by doing this:

1: The child whose head turns into the MC's helmet is a female. (so not a young John reflecting on the vastness of the universe)

2: The aircraft are flying away from the battlefront. (don't know why I needed to mention that)

3: The pistol does in fact disappear. (if Bugie had done it I'd be mad)

4: The Warthog is behind the MC when he activates the shield. Its position should be visible once the camera angle changes and the MC starts running but the 'Hog was also well within the blast radius of the Wraith shell. The 'Hog could have easily been blasted out of the camera view or could just be a slip up like the pistol. Remember that Bugie did NOT make this ad nor is it rendered in the Halo 3 game engine.

5: The pistol does have a scope and an extended clip.

6: The reason the Brutes look like some other race is because they are wearing the Elite's helmets. The helmets are a symbol of rank not species and were reassigned to the Brutes by the Prophets. (if you don't believe me go play Halo 2 again)

7: Just a guess but since the ring shaped cloud in the distance is exactly the same as the one in the E3 trailer (yes exactly... okay maybe not exactly but close) I'd have to conclude that the MC is on his way to the artifact.

Good work, except for one thing: Brutes can't wear Elite helmets because they have the normal amount of jaws and Elites have extra jaws. Kinda uncomfortable, don't you think? The reason they wear the honor guard helmets in Halo 2 is because those helmets don't have a jaw piece, and even then, they're still a tight fit.
