seems to me it has a similar model to the halo 1 pistol, but has the magnums color

I think "contact" or "come back" would make more sense.

o_O Weird transcript. While I listened with my uber 5.1 headphones, my system volume won't go up that high to hear a lot of what you posted. Glad I could provide a base, though!

EDIT: Listening to it again, it sounds plainly obvious and I wonder how I missed those little added bits. Although, after the kids screaming (Sounds like a cross of that and the whistle of artillery shells), isn't it an echo of "Do you think we'll ever meet them?"

Well I managed to watch the video on my virus infected computer which is being clensed of them atm. Personnally this is what I interperted.

The Chief is riding the mongoose into combat while he is reflecting back on his childhood possibly becasue he is fighting on his old world Eridanus 2 which had beautiful grassy plains as shown in the video. Dunno but I could be wrong. Suddenly the chief gets hit by a landmine or shell and gets thrown from his mongoose onto the ground. He possibly Lays unconcious but when he gets up and grab his helmet you hear the You think we will ever meet them? in his head. I think he is thinking about how he has become one of them of which he was speaking of as a kid. He gets up grab his rifle, sees more incoming moraters and grabs his sheild device. Throws it at the ground, does a cool pose and jumps into the new breed of covenent.

Doom: Have a look at the feet of the other units by the brutes. the feet and legs are exactly the same as all brutes before. It was also the Hog he was thrown out of. Look in the first scene. The hog is smoldering and he's on the ground in front and to the side of it. Then it mysteriously seems to change into a Mongoose, but I don't know if that's an error or if he just moved. The fact that the pistol disappears in the second scene with the shield apalls me. The fact that such a respectable company would make such a glaring error is unthinkable to me.

The Mongoose thing is bugging me as well. It HAS to be changing, as the first shot has the tow cable/winch on the front, which the Mongoose is clearly lacking. Also, the pistol never disappears...he holsters it really quickly.

There is a Mongoose on one side and a Warthog on the other. I think that's what I saw, anyway.

He was riding into combat, but it might have been the Hog he was in, and he's still on Earth.
Chances are that Eridanus II has been glassed for a while now. For all we know, that kid might not be John.

Slightly distant, but the best angle I could find...

As you can see, there is a minor "bulge" but nothing to the extent of the pistol in Halo 1... I doubt it has a scope.

I'd also like it if the pistol was more powerful (not Halo 1, but in between that and Halo 2), but shot slower.

The angle doesn't show the pistol at its complete side, thus the minor bulge. I believe that the pistol is a hybrid of the Halo 1 pistol and Halo 2 pistol.

There's a grid I drew according to the appearance of the picture, as you can see, there's a bulge that appears to be identical to that of Halo 1's pistol.

Why would he holster it? He gets in his pose with the pistol...Then its not there...and then after everything clears he's then running with it.

So basically he throws a grenade with his pistol, stands there, quickly holsters it, gets it ou again and starts running?

I question what the mastercheif was thinking if that were the case.

Yes I agree with Scotty... If you consider the MC a human, you'd have to use in-human powers to holster the weapon that quickly. The gun is in one frame, the next frame it is gone. The movie is running at ~30FPS. That means, in 1/30th of a second the MC holstered the gun. No, I think it was a mistake.

And I was wrong, Tsuin was definitely right:

Perhaps they are balancing it like they did with the MA5C...Making the clip smaller...As there is not giant jutting out bit...

And in one instance I could have sworn I could see the display on the AR...Black background blue writing... But that may have just been me trying too hard...

I had trouble using the print-screen button while in Full Screen mode in WMP, messed up while pasting into paint.. I could do it in regular though.
