I like the 'speed boost' theory for the X button; that sounds more likely than the shield thing or a 'special feature' on the weapons =/

I doubt it. Two shield devices would account for the two missing grenades in the roster of what should be eight, but counting the two frag, two plasma, and two spike, would have been only six. Counting two shield devices, that rounds it back out to eight, as in previous Halo games.PyroBlizzard wrote:I rekon the X button is the shield. Even if it does look like a nade. Do you really want to have people throwing shields all over the place.... no.
I think when you click x he will throw his shield into the ground and will protect you for a moment of time.
1up said they were doing good enough that they didn't have to activate their X buttons. This would mean it would be something you use is you're doing bad/in a bad situation. However, if it were sprint, they would still need to use it to catch up to the losers sprinting, would they not? I makes more sense that it is something defensive like a shield.
Well the sprint would be to like run away from grenades, rockets, vehicles, the like.
But yeah I was thinking that myself, where else is a button that is easily pushed... That's when you need the shield. It's definitely not going to be in the grenade selection... I don't want to have to push the white or black (Forgot which one) button several times to switch grenades to the--Oh I died! Crud!

This has probably been said but i'm too impatient to browse five more pages just to see, but I bet it is him and Kelly back before the Covenant when they were just starting out in their training. I recall a mission where all the spartan trainees were sent out into the night and had to recapture a "downed pelican" and escape back to base with it (it was a training mission) from Halo: The Fall of Reach.INSANEdrive wrote:Aww Hush...
