How did you become a modder?

I just got XBC First day, I was like this is the shiz. And back then, XBC didnt have a halo mods section, So i joined a modding room, and this dude was like Flying a Hog, And i was like DOOD, I WANNA DO THAT and drop it on your FACE!

Then The guy shot a bus at my face, and banned me from his room.
So I hax0red back at him, And I met The DY Clan (Misfit, Trigger, Ghost, etc) and they was like, "We hax0r you up because u iz 2 cool".

So I got modded, and my first mod was a projectile swap(Magnum shoots Tank shells) with Extract And Inject meta.

Oh And my first modded map I downloaded was some pink checkered lockout, and I dropped a hog on my friends head.

And I'm here today, hate all the noob things I used to have fun with back then.

OH and later on I learned how to make MC's do sexy positions, and it turned me into a gay robot. :O.

One night, I had a vision from God saying...

I had no clue what a "Modder" was, so I Googled it. There were Halo Modders, GTA Modders, and Ticktacktoe Modders.
That night I asked God,
"God, I Googled your command, what type of Modder should I be?"

He answer my prayers with a miraculous sign. A popup, I was looking at porn one day, and a popup about Halo Mods came up......

I actually became a modder when I was playing XBL, and there was live modder. I was interested and Googled it, I found this site.

(AND NO, I did not learn to mod, then do it on live.)

I can verify that. Zone Used to play XBL, Got modded, Stopped XBL, and I used to talk to him back in the days.

i was given a broken xbox since i was the so called .. computer whizz of the family ... and after reading many tutorials and getting confused.. i finally asked how to fix i and i enden up buying chip and fixed it like that... after i played halo 2 for a while on xbc .. one of my friends i met on there was running abnormally fast ..(the server i play on is pretty much a family server .. no cussing and kids sisters adads and moms play.) but this on kid in the gang ran fast on coag and all we played on coag was snipers .. so he ran around and messed with us while we played... so i had to find out how to do that.. so after i figured that out i discoverd GAMA .. and i learned crap from them and went from there.. ended up here ...

i hated modders... i admit i was ignorent... i remember playing xbl and have thos a-holes run fast, jump high, and never miss.

anyway me and a friend decided to make a machinima and for ideas i looked up halo2 in putfile... and there was a video called war zone.

i was amazed so i looked up modding and loved everything i saw, so i decided to mod too, my first succesful mod was duel snipers adn shotguns... i was sooo proud

I used to go to HIH, and I stumbled upon the modding forums in around March 2005. I was entranced by The 7th Sanctum's video of their burial mounds mod (I think it was called Dark Ruins or something), and kept coming back to see more mods. I had known about Halomods, but I almost never visited, and was not very interested. Eventually, I made the decision to mod my Xbox. I went to Halomods for patches for maps such as Glass Ship and Sub Zero. After HIH's modding forum was taken away, Halomods became my place of activity. At first I lurked for a few months, but I finally broke down and made an account in November 2005.

To this day I have not released a mod (I've gotten very close to finishing quite a few), do to lots of tedious problems that I couldn't fix at the time, lack of skinning ability, and sheer laziness. I plan to sit down and make one for the Xmas competetion once I get out of school for the break.

i wanted to play n64 games and wut not on my xbox and i thought that was so cool never even heard of modding before, my friend yodoo17 was like adam has a modded xbox with a bunch of free games i was like coo, so i reaserched and modded my xbox thru splinter cell, well after about a couple of months got bored of crappy n64 emus and learned about modding halo2 from a guy on x link and thats where i found this website.

my story is way to long, to sum it up it was me and High6 in a xbc lobby and this was back in the day like way back in the day, and we just stayied up all night and well he convinced me to buy a modchip and I did, and since I was already good with farcry AI I didnt think they could be diffrent and both games used .lisp for AI (scripts) I found an immediate connection and then we all know the rest.

uh well how i got into it.

i have been here for about 5 years and still dont get respect from anyone here.

i make films, intros and videos for individual maps.

and my first map ever was Nuke Gulch way back when mainly for making videos or goofing around

now i ahve some respect but i run my own company now and business is good

Also, at the time that there were only 70 members modding Halo: Combat Evolved, this website did not exist.

It's interesting; You're one of the oldest members here, yet present yourself with the maturity I'd expect from the youngest.

how long have you been here?

i dont memorize dates, i dont google things up unless its for term papers or work, but all i can tell you is i was one of the earliest members ill check my old profile its still in the database and check the date i registered im sure its around january 2003 which would make me one of the earlier ones. you havent been here that long though i do not believe and when you came in i must ask you this.

were you called a n00b? did people pick on you? was trauma so sever to you that it causes you to be so cruel and harsh to people who are just trying to have fun cause if you werent then i recommend you shut up cause you were and still are and forever shall be a n00b.
