Any type of movement or position is unlikely based on what has been said about it.

It will stop your character's current animation. So if you're reloading or something you just press X and he stops, also if you time it right you could even Melee someone, press X to stop the melee animation, and then shoot them in the head.
I think it could definitely work.

That also makes no sense when put into the situation 1up mentioned.

In addition, that's not something that's activated.

A BXR isn't something you "activate."

Maybe spectator mode, but that wouldn't give you much of an advantage, nor would it work, bah screw the idea.

Maybe the X button could be like an active camo activator or something like that.

^its probably one of those. Or another idea: It is definable to be something in the game type or you can disable it entirely.

i doubt they would make it active camo, since they've had the active camo on the maps already in the past two versions.

sprint

Post by Zackkoss »

Ok I think its one of these two different things. Either a sprint becasue when you watch in the movie(and from what I hear that is real game play) hes running incredibly fast, faster then what you have seen in past games and hes also not holding his gun ready to fire. So from what I have seen I think the X button is a sprint of some kind. Or maybe its some kind of personal shield boost (not the grenade sheild) but a boost that comes from the suit itself.

O and the beta for 2007 spring is going to be sweeeet. LOL cant f****ing wait.

i really doubt its sprint. damn, if only topics in yayap were more organized.
anyway, 1up said they didnt have to use the x button when they played. i dont have the specific link or quote, but the point is they beat the other team without having to use the x button. so i doubt its sprint.

Someone on Bungie has discovered what it is. It makes perfect sense really.
MinkOWar wrote:Press "X" for picnic table manouver.

Imagine it: An elite is rushing the Chief, energy sword blazing in the night. The Chief, clip empty, slips out of cover and charges the Elite. At the last second, as the ELite roars his challenge, the Chief leaps into the air, and turn into a picnic table!

The manouver is of such epic proportions, the Elite's brain undergoes nuclear fission on the spot, boiling his flesh away, before disapearing in a blinding flash of white.

To say that is not what the X button is is nothing short of idiotic.
It's a fucking joke people, if you can't tell that, you may need a helmet.
