PSP homebrew is pretty much the only reason I got a PSP. I have the custom firmware v2.71 SE-C by Dark Alex which allows me to run all of my great homebrew and play pretty much any game requiring any firmware (Vice City Stories). I also have emulators for every cartridge based Nintendo system and the PS1 (although the PS1 and N64 emulators are WIP so they aren't perfect). If you have any questions, give me a PM :p

I run 1.50 and 2.71 through DevHook with custom fonts. I've got a bunch of emulators, apps, and Super Mario War installed. And ISOs and stuff.

Which emu's were ported for the PSP? I'm guessing most did/are going to be. Also, were they ported well? Another thing, what kind of programs are usable for the PSP? Descriptions mb?

I'm not a huge fan of handhelds, sometimes I wish I had the PSP, but I can't justify spending the money when I know I'll rarely play it.

Mike and Alchemist, add me on AIM and I'll tell you how to install Dark Alex's 2.71 SE-C (Dual-boot of fw1.5 & fw2.71) :)

(Took me all freaking afternoon for me to figure it out myself >_>)

Also, I have a few good emulators if you want =p

(PM me for AIM adress, cause I think the one I have posted is old/wrong)

You can buy a chip to by-pass this.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if FW 2.71 SE-C can run .CSO files? (I'm guessing .CSO is similar to .ISO)

i decided to upgrade from 1.5 to 2.0 just because the homebrew for psp now is pretty boring.. they have snes emulators and mame emulators.. which can be done on the computer, but psp is portable so its ok but boring since PSP UMD games are probibly more fun. they are making a ps1 emulator for psp and FF7 works at 800% speed now which is good. once they make a keyboard for the psp ill probibly downgrade if needed to use one :P

Why not just downgrade to 1.5 and install SE-C? You can dual-boot 1.5 and 2.71 w/ it so you get everything basically <_<

I just ordered that PSP Modchip for Christmas. I enjoy PSP homebrew but the GP2X is much better.
