They could just creat the files forum stuff here, but moving the topics wouldn't be easy because users are based on a number that comes from when you joined, not at all your name.
But, they could run a SQL script that changes each ID based on your name, but you'd have to have the same name on both forums.
To put it bluntly: It would be nearly impossible to merge the two forums.

When I first started modding I would read articles on Halomods, back when it was dark in color... Never joined the forums though until after I was banned from another one for fucking swearing repeatedly. What the ****s up with that? I mean fucking seriously? lol... No, actually, it involved me dropping a barrage of f-bombs after being accused of leaking a map I didn't even know existed. And then later I found a bunch of people here had liked the ideas behind my original Trepidation... Ah, interesting times... Good, bad, ugly. I got banned from GBX because I knew it could be done and no one else thought it could be and I got into a huge argument about it. Then my account got "hacked" (technically, no, my brother, who for all I know is in jail right now, logged onto it and posted a bunch of shit, in particular, demanding they ban the account. The admins quickly abbliged. I tried to fight back on other accounts, they didn't believe me (which anyone could guess would happen), which combined with my past record led them to banning me.
But enough about my entire career, I'll save the details for my autobiography.

They can just remove all the ID's from the posts, put them as guest posts.
Honestly, I don't care if they get rid of either of the forums, just the fact that both now have basically a bizarro version of each subforum bothers me.

Impossible is a very strong word.
If there were to be a merge, it would be safe to assume they would preserve topics, accounts, and most of the other content, not just completely wipe everything that's been accumulated over the years.
