I guess you'd have to change the stuff in Guerilla, then somehow convert to PC. I'm sure there's tuts out there

fortunately you can change maps from PC to CE and back to PC by simply editing the first couple of lines of hex code. i think i still have the document somewhere. I've just never used Guerilla before...haven't messed with Sapien much either. lol. Hey since we're on the subject of weapons, when i try to replace the fp model of the plasma rifle with the regular model, now i'm getting the exception data error. am i doing it wrong? i could've sworn i took inferno's advice about it before and it worked perfectly. is there a catch?

Awww. Couldn't make the plugin? I couldn't either :D lol There has to be a way to get this feature in HMT.

spew is in the phenomena plugin i think. i saw something like that ill check... :wink:

yes there is a spew thing at the very botom of phenomenas plugin for weapons.

Just gave it a whirl, but I'm not seeing a change in the weapon. damnit! lol. while we're on the subject, to get a weapon to appear in first person as in third, don't you take the fp model and override the third person? i'm almost positive i've done it before, but recently it's been giving me exception data. any thoughts?

swap the 3rd person model for the 1st person one in HHT if you do it in HMT it fucks up :P

Yea I JUST figured it out too. lol. i was randomly thinking about some of the different things i might be able to do with HHT, and then it hit me that you had once said that I need to use it to swap the 3rd person model with the fp. lol. figures right? :)

Is it possible to remove the sound from the plasma rifle without removing all of the other weapons that shoot plasma? (like the Ghost and Banshee).

yes

-open hht
-goto the plasma rifle in the weapons tag
-find the sound you want too remove in its dependencys
-select it and then goto the drop down menu and change it too nulled out
-hit swap then hit save

done

(ha ha i stayed on topic !!! :D)

lol. i actually thought about that first, but even after nulling out all the sounds in HHT, the firing sound is still there. damn. lol.

weird.. i turned the plasma pistol into a rocket launcher and made the second trigger the r mouse button and put a AR on it.. i changed the sounds and it worked fine.. weird... hmm... try and change it too a really quite sound instead of nulled out that might work. :)

Sweet. Do you remember which one it was? Because when i was looking at the tag I never actually saw one that reflected the plasma rifle being fired. Saw one for overheat and dryfire, etc. But maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place. The skin for the sword though is finally starting to come along...got that cool arctic look. I dunno how many people here have a car but have you seen those nokia artic white headlights? that's the look i'd like to give to the sword ;)

uhhh.... i think you should look under either the damage tags "plasma pistol trigger" or somewhere in the projectiles tags.

Ah hah! That might have something to do with it ;) thanx! I was looking under all the snd tags. I also think I may have found an alternative to my "beam" weapon. It appears that the one that appeared in the CMT campaigne was a custom projectile, nor will they say how they made it. bummer. but i think i may have found something close enough.

You don't have any speculation as to how they did the portal gun do you? I can only think they replaced the plasma splash with a teleporter, but I can't find the tags for them...only the scenary. any thoughts? good to know there are some people around here still willing to share info :) thanx :D

By the way, how is your AI map coming along?

But the biggest challenge is trying to make some sort of beam for the fuel rod gun. as far as i know, there aren't any actual beams in the game.
