Use a Torque Bow, hide in the light, when the Kryll go away (they always do after an explosion such as a Torque Bow shot or frag grenade), shoot him.

It might help to get a coop partner.

I need some tips on beating Ramm. On casual. I found a troika on the train, but it's in the dark, and his kryll get me if I try to use it.

Look...right...above you. Torque Bow/Sniper/Lancer.

Heck...all I did my first time was stay in the initial spot in cover, unload my Lancer on him, then shot him once with the Boltok Pistol (Magnum) and he was dead.

Hang on to your money for a PS3. Right now 360 has a few great games and a lot of medicore ones. The PlayStation looks like its gonna have fewer great games, but a lot more good ones. Plus, if you get the PS3 and the Wii, you'll get a lot more exclusive games, whereas the 360 will likely share a lot of games with Windows once Live Anywhere kicks off.

And what's the problem with it sharing games with Windows? How will that be of a disadvantage to us anyway.

Nearly all the games on the PS3 are on the 360, or have better alternatives on the 360. The only reason I would have got a PS3 is for GTA, the game that kept the PS2 alive, but wait... It's on the 360 too! =p

Oh, snap! Didn't notice that. I've tried the sniper technique. Doesn't work for me. I can't get him to die. He doesn't let his kryll out often enough for me to blow his head off, and I can't go back and get a torque bow. I shot his head full of enough bullets to replace his head with them entirely, and yet he still didn't die. Does he still take damage even with the kryll around him?

I meant exclusive as in only playable from console to console. There currently any plans to make the PS3 or the Wii cross-platform. However if you are playing a game on (Xbox) Live (Anywhere), there might be people playing against you on a PC. Could you image how hard you would get owned at Halo if someone had a mouse and keyboard and you had some analog sticks and buttons? Evolved asked if he should get a 360 or not, I was just giving reasons to my beliefs. And as far as "Only For ____" games go, I'd pass up Halo 3 and GoW for Metal Gear Solid any day.

Explosive, if the kryll won't go away just throw a grenade at him and they will leave him. Depending on how good you are with the reload you can usually get about 3-5 headshots on him while the kryll are away. I usually just use a sniper and grenades but you can use whatever weapons you want. Like GTAF said, he used the Lancer and Boltok, so I guess it's just whatever you prefer to use.

i just borrowed my friends and beat it in casual mode in 2 days. its the best action game for 360 i think and most fun and competative. theres alot of things that dont make sense.. like when you arent in battle and your teamates die (AI) and they come back to life all of the sudden, and the chainsaw animation where it cuts the enemy in not only 1 area(But like 3) and how spoiler carmbine or w/e the guys name is dies by the sniper but if it was anyone else durring game play, they would just get up

i mean mostly im complaining about the story and what needs to be done to tell it but im just talking sense

edit: o yea the last boss is easy all you do is take cover and shoot at him right where you start the fight and if you shoot him in the head the whole time (im skillful like that) then you can kill him before he gets to you. though i only played in casual mode

Gears is absolutely amazing. It's awesome, it cna be flat out funny at some times, or extremely intense at others. Or even a combination.

For example, myself and two team mates are hiding behind a car from the sniper. One of us pokes his head up for a couple AR rounds, and his head promptly explodes into a chunky mist. The initial reaction is both us laughing hilariously in the "holy crap, he just got owned!" sense, and then immediately after we're frantically trying to figure out if we stay or try to sprint for it.

It's just awesome.

I got it today!
Even on a SD TV (Even though its large), the game still looks crazy. Cutting up someone with the...Gun that it is...and shooting someone in the face with the shotgun as they run around the corner, getting a screen full of their blood...Just amazing

the complaints I read about with the context sensitive A button, I have not really ran into, I'm always in control

I want them to take out the dumb glitches that get you to run fast all around the level, but still be able to shoot >_>. Those are no fun for me at all.

But anyway, I beat raam on hardcore and casual, I need some help on insane. Can someone help me out?

I can't believe they took the player names off of the server list for ranked games. There goes any chance of me playing with friends in ranked games ever again, therfore there goes me wanting to play this game anymore.
