Dude, exract the model from Dec's map and put it in a new one. =\ Does that solve the problem here with Dec's?

If anyone actually took the time to read my first post instead of skipping to the pictures they would know that I didn't want it to look like the halo 2 flamethrower... If I wanted it to look like the halo 2 flamethrower I would have injected its lods and dds in that I got off the forums a longggg while ago. Since it is ripped content from halo 2 beta it would = ban.
Hope you guys get what I am going at here =/
@GameTagAeonFlux, It should be perfectly fine to release, its a custom bitmap and Model, You must have mistaken my flamethrower for the halo 2 one =]. Just wanted to clear that up to avoid a ban upon release.

People want to look at new things, they don't want a halo 1 flamethrower in halo 2... they would rather have something diffrent, new custom...Doom wrote:Well you should all know that Halo 2 orignaly had a flamethrower in it. Well I think the halo 2 flamethrower stuff isn't all too exciting...
However I like how you seem intent on finishing this fully meaning that I doubt you will release a shoddy halo 2 flamethrower with custom effects custom sounds, custom HUD etc...Would make a valuable entry in the Tags and resources section
I look forward to seeing further progress

Well I am getting pretty close to finnishing the uvw map. The back is done and same with the handles. I just need to uvw some of the front and do the nozzle of the gun.

Also I had to rerestart the uvw becasue I forgot to weld quite a few verts and managed to bring down the verts from 1456 to 721 =P.

the darn effect distance it bugging the hell out of me. I'm going to be tweeking this for a while. At least if i find anything new it will be added to the tut.

Another update on the uvw, I finnished the nozzle and I tweaked up around the model once more, I got most of the gub skinned! I just need to fiugre out what I should use/put on the from two sides of the flamethrowers rollcage thing, and also what kinda ttexture I am going for on the hoses/tubes in there =\.

Yay! I got the model ingame and uvwed after a bit of trouble with it being sized correctly. There are still a few bugs that I need to work out but its looking pretty good =]. It has a white kind of reflection at some angles for somereason but viewing it from the front seems fine. There is also what appears to be teh brute bump map on it or something even though I nulled it out it likes being there =S.
