Well you should all know that Halo 2 orignaly had a flamethrower in it. Well, I was asked as a favor to make a flamethrower model for someone. However the model I made wasen't what they had in mind. So I decied to finnish off the model and decied to take it upon myself to make it as a actual ingame weapon. The model I made was not supposed to be like the Halo 2 model, and kinda looks like the halo 1 flamethrower a bit but not really. These pictures below are of the model ingame but the final weapon is at only about 10% done =P. I gotta build its effects up and proj and clip, gotta move the hands to the correct place, finnish the uvw and bitmap which is what I am currently doing.

I also need to fix a few more things with the injection/ingameness.

GO FOR IT i'll use it but u might run into difficulty making the fire jet look right

ok constructive critism:

1: the model looks backwards (in the second pic the handle looks liek it is backwards)

2: please uv map this, it will look sooo good if you do :)

Yeah its a brute shto shader, I found that using the sentinel beam would be no diffrent then the brute shot, and the brute shots hand placemeant is alot better then the sentinel beams. Those are pictures from this morning btw so they are quite old.

I was in the process of uvwing it when max just CRASHED... since its 2 Am I am going to bed. I should be done uvwing to tomorow. Hopefully by saturday the effes and proj and clip and everything else should be done.

Also what do you mean the handle is backwards =P.

in the second pic, to me it seems that the thing struting out is the handle and not the barrel, but it will definately change when you uv map it. really looking foreward to seeing it :)

Well I worked on creating the bitmap and started reuvwing it a bit. I need to fix up the model still as I must have accidentally moved some verts on those joints. Do you guys think I should use the shark head thing that was on all the other halo flamethrowers? I think I might be able to incorperate it in there. I do have it in the bitmap I am making atm to see if I can use it later =P

Anways, a 3ds max pic of it Partially uvwed.

Thanks for the support guys =P.

and now I am going sleep.

and btw Fox, dunno why a handle would be right at the very front of the gun :P

wut in God's name is that? u should uv map it cuz i cant tell if thats a giant piece of dooky or a weapon >.> or both.

look at the difference between shad swapped and uv mapped. That is amazing! So much better, keep up the good work.

One last thing before I go to sleep. Turk will be doing the effects so expect something neat/new/cool =]. If not, thats ok but just liek to mention turk is doing the effects for me and all credit goes to him for that.

That pic your using is not from the same thread, that pic is from the Pictures section, when it was still a WIP, and when I downloaded them, it didn't work.
