you need to make a new channel called Alpha 1 and on that channel make everythin that's transparent black and everything that's solid white. if i get a chance i'll see what i did wrong with it last time this weekend.

Here is the second way I do it.


I make the New Image thing.

I put in my image and make the background black.

I select the whole image, and copy it.

I make the alpha channel and I paste the image into my alpha channel.

I save my image in these settings.

I apply the texture in Max.

Don't paste the image in the alpha channel. Just make all channels visible.

Then you either have to erase the parts (alpha channel) that you want see through or the parts that you want visible (I've never tried so try both of them).


I'd love to see a tutorial on this when you are done.

Ok after alot of pain (2 and a half weeks) I FINALY GOT IT, Thanks =EP Killa for the help
