looks good so far but i think it looks better with the nameplate i made because it looks more aged
i think 19 flores is a bit much unless you have it set up like it is in T&R with the hanger bay having all the flores over look it

He said he is trying to make only certain floors / corridors accessible for different gametypes.

Like how Relic has a ramp at the front of the tower during CTF.
If this was a bump (?), then sorry.

Haven't updated this in a while.
Just started working on the recreation room and the terrarium:

The pic was too big to upload anywhere, so I tossed it on GM.
I'm working on a custom hull texture, as you might be able to tell (if you can't, that's a good thing)

Where the X is, represents my dislike for the ugly rec room that is visible from the outside. Where the rectangle is, represents me wanting some sort of command center and a big gun or something up there to take away from the vast empty space. Otherwise, I love it :P

so now it doesn't have the supports, it looks like you have a dragged vert (probably just poor modeling) at the rear, a giant indentation on the top, and the recroom that looks rediculous. what happened to the texturing?

Dude. No. Do you even know who Katarn and Snaf are? They are some of the few 1337est modelers that have ever set foot in CE. =D

FleetAdmiralBacon wrote:None of this is a box, though. It's mostly extruded and then beveled splines all connected together, I did a lot more vertex dragging in this, and to make sure everything lines up, I only made half the model and slapped on a symmetry modifier (which I occasionally delete in order to UV the model and stuff)

serisously if you want this to be a bsp why did you do all that...

it still looks very simple

It's not that good, but I'm working on making it look a little better.
It's a Multipurpose Rifle, a simple little machine gun / grenade launcher combo for the Asis.

With a bit of work it looks like it could be a pretty sweet weapon. Keep it up, I'm excited to see how this project will turn out. :D

It's actually a box with a cartoony skin. Needs more useful perspectives and clay renders. Also detail.

Dude I got any idea for a varinet of that. insted of it being docked have it broken in two pecieces in the center and only have a few wires connecting it. then make it so all the lifepods are gone and only one longsword remains. then have it so it is floating in space and that theres no gravity. your jump heighth could be like 1000 and your jump speed could be like .07. Have it so you walk on walls but figure out a way of having it so you acutaly see as if you were on the wall or upside down. like grav boots that stick you to the ship but if you jump off of the hull it's bye bye spartan guy.

Walk on walls doesn't work well for playable characters. Your view remains the same like when you go up a ladder, and your feet hover above walls, not on them. And the jump... guh. No.

well I hate it how when I'm outside in space on levels like Boarding action or halo 2's first level and the entire thing acts like a normal map and if you wanted to there is probally a why of making it look the same way as you charecter is running on the walls

Yeah, I know. It annoys the hell out of me too - the awesome space physics are why I moved Hammer of Justice to Source.
