Editing HUD Tut

HUD - Head's up display
Here's a tutorial on how to edit the HUD for people who don't know how to.

Download HMT
This will extract the HUD images.

Download the DDS Converter.
A program that converts DDS files to another image type.

Open HMT.

Load the map. I'll be using BG.

Go to bitmaps.

Go to a sub-section with ui\bitmaps\.

Choose which HUD image you want to edit (I chose hud_unit_meters).

Click "save texture".

Go to convim.

Convert the texture you saved to Windows Bitmap (or to whatever image type you want).

Open up Windows Bitmap.

Edit it.

Save it.

Convert it to a DDS.

Go back to HMT.

Go back to the HUD File you saved.

Inject texture.

Click "Save".

Text it.
