ChunkCounts

Hey guys i was looking through a batch extracted map and kept on seeing chunkcounts. So finally i asked myself, "self, what the HELL are chunkcounts!?" Can anyone explain what chunks are and how they can be useful to modders. I read a post that said that seatnames are chunks. So couldn't u just add seats to a vehicle by adding chunks?

Wait for more of grens tuts and search thru the current ones. If anything will tell you it's that.

I think it has something to do with models, I can remember somebody saying "Even if you did match the vetices count, you would have problems with the chunk count" or something.

to see what i mean just batch extract a map and look in the xml files. alot of it will be made of chunkcounts.

That was me lol. I forget the exact error message but it may have been chunk. If someone has milkshape delete a vert and try to inject and see if it gives a similar error.

yeah, I did hear tell that you could remove verts... but not add :)

That's why I tried in the days that I still had milkshape, but once I did it gave me an error about either sections or chunks or some synonym of those saying mine had a diff amount.

Chunks are the same as REFLEXIVE structures. It is explained in detail in Tutorial #3.
